English is the common language of the world, so how can we encourage our shy pupils to speak, at the same time as refining the gamers? ‘Talking Teens’ will give you ideas to differentiate your teaching, to match differing needs, whilst developing and refining language in a fun and meaningful context.

Målet med kurset:

- You will gain knowledge about how to stimulate your pupils' speaking skills, through renewable games and projects.
- You will gain knowledge about how to differentiate your language teaching, when dealing with different levels of speaking skills.
- You will gain skills in integrating vocabulary and chunks into your English lessons.

Indhold:

As teachers, we know that no matter what age, our pupils learn best in a safe and respectful classroom environment.
Speaking and communicating in a second language can be daunting, especially for teenagers, where image is important. But with the right tools, it can be fun and motivating.
‘Talking Teens’ is a practical, hands-on course, full of discussion and lively activities, aimed at promoting speech.
With a focus on vocabulary and chunks, as essential building blocks of language acquisition, we will discuss how to develop both language and confidence with the older learners.
Throughout the day, we will talk about creating a language culture, where having fun speaking is more important than focusing on mistakes.
